Having my first baby was such a time of learning and growth for me. I immersed myself in learning everything I could. This is where my passion for lactation started, and I set my sights on becoming a lactation consultant. I became a nurse in 2009 and in 2015 I achieved my goal of becoming an IBCLC!
I obtained my bachelor's degree in nursing and became a nurse with the goal of becoming a lactation consultant. Being a labor and delivery and postpartum nurse has given me such great experience in working with pregnant and breastfeeding parents. I treasure the moments I have been able to share with all of the families I have come across in the last 11 years. I have been a lactation consultant for 8 years now! I have worked both in the hospital setting and in a virtual setting.
Nursing and raising 5 kids of my own has given me a wide range of lactation and parenting experiences! Some easy, some very challenging.
